Our Story

Gambino's Spaghetti is a family-owned restaurant that has been serving delicious Italian dishes for over 35 years. The story of how it all began starts with a man named Giovanni Gambino, who immigrated to the United States from Italy in the early 1960s.

Giovanni brought with him a wealth of knowledge and experience in the culinary arts, having grown up in a family of restaurateurs in his native Italy. He quickly found work in various Italian restaurants in the New York City area, honing his skills and gaining a reputation as a talented chef.

In the late 1970s, Giovanni decided it was time to strike out on his own and open his own restaurant. He saved up enough money to rent a small storefront in the heart of Little Italy and set to work renovating the space and creating a menu that showcased his unique blend of traditional and modern Italian cuisine.

Gambino's Spaghetti opened its doors in 1980, and it was an immediate success. The restaurant quickly earned a reputation for its delicious homemade pasta dishes and friendly, welcoming atmosphere. Giovanni and his family worked tirelessly to ensure that every customer who walked through the door felt like they were being welcomed into their home.
